Amd xp1900+ temps???

Ok...

I have a 1.4tbird now on an ecs mobo...I get idle tmeps at 43-44c with full load as high as 51c...

What can I expect from a 1900+xp using same 27.7cfm 5400rpm hsf and on same mobo??? Does the xp at 1.6ghz run about the same as the 1.4tbird?? I heard xp's were around 10-15 precent cooler then a tbird at that speed. Is that right?

All other things being equal, your temps with the XP should be equal to or less than the 1400.

My XP1900+ runs at 33c Under intense load it peaks at 36

Yes case (w fans) and power supply will also be the same....


I am not set on the 1900+...I would like to see the price come down a bit...I am never the one the be the early adopter so any thoroughbred options would be out for at least 6 months after its release...so this could be a good tie over until then....The xp will offer noticeable performance in some of the programs I use...

How are the accuracies of socket a mobos with athlon xps???
