If it is a custom system, then it won't be a problem.
If it is a factory system, then open a command window (Start-Run-cmd-ENTER) and type "sc config intelppm start= disabled", without the quotes. Note the space after the "=", but not before.
If you have the incorrect setting, this will resolve it. The problem isn't with AMD, but lazy manufacturers. They set their systems to take either processor, and it wasn't an issue under SP1 or 2, but because of the updates to the core kernel in SP3 it puts you into a loop while it tries to find an Intel CPU
