currently I have just ordered the following to upgrade my system as seen below.

CPU Heatsink: Swiftech MCX 462+ with Arctic Silver 3 and a Panaflo 80mm 39.6 CFM Fan
Ram: 2 x Corsair XMS 512mb PC3500 CL2

For my motherboard I am looking to get the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe since all the reviews and features it has are quite good

Now for a CPU currently you can get the XP2800+ for $390.00 (2.25GHZ) or a XP2600+ for $285.00 (2.13GHZ)

My question is it worth the extra $105.00 for an increase of 120mhz? Which of the two are better for overclock and what are the max speeds out of these processers people have been able to overclock these at?

Thanks

Save yourself some $'s and even go lower with the 2400 (appx. $180) then OC it to @ least the 2800 which as you state runs $390 ;)

Fine choice to make, once I get my reservoir back from Koolance I gotta see how high my 2400+ can go, I can get to around 2.2ghz with this lil dinky ol' SVC GC68 with full load being 53C.

Looks like I will pick up a XP 2800+ in an OEM factor....is it worth getting a 1-year warranty for $20.00 to protect the investment? does it cover overclocking?

Overclocking is not covered by the warranty, but how they will be able to tell if you did is beyond me.;)
