Currently this processor is going for $43 OEM and I want to get one... Does anyone know if this is Tbred B 1.5volt? I read that they were shipping out some A's? And I also read that people were buying retail chips, is there more of a chance of getting B if you get retail?

They were shipping mostly A's for a long time, over the past 10 days or so, more B's began appearing. But it's not gauranteed.

it's a YMMV with getting the B core, but you have nothing to lose. i'm sure you can sell it off for $40 if u get an A

If you look at the user reviews, all of the people who bought it recently got b's, so its pretty safe. Googlegear might be safer though.

well I don't know whether mine is an A or a B, but I can tell you it is *rock* stable at 2.08Ghz, with an idle temp of around 36 degrees adn a loaded temp of around 39-40 degrees :) Great chip for the price!

Your chances of getting a 1.5V TBred B DLT3C from newegg right now are slim to none. These processors are becoming rare. You will have to go somewhere like Excaliber Pc to be guaranteed one, but you will pay like $75 or something. Most likely from Newegg and others you will get a 1.6V TBred B DUT3C. This is not a bad processor for >$45 since it should still do 2.0-2.2GHz easily.

Yeah, that was the one I just got for a friend (the DUT3C) from Newegg for $43. It hits 2.2ghz, but needed too much voltage to stay stable there for a "friends" overclock. So it is running at 1.7vcore at 2.08ghz in sync with his normal corsair 2700 memory.

The chip I received today is a DUT3C JIUHB. I won't be installing it until this weekend though. :(

Thanks for all the replies guys, I don't feel like paying $75 for a DLTC so I guess I'll hope for the best and get a DUTC from Newegg.

I've been researching these new 0312 from newegg from the OC of most people who just got them. After reading numerous posts on their results I pretty much got the OC picture. On average these will do (12x166 ~ 2Ghz) on default vcore of 1.6V. They should do fine approaching towards 2.1Ghz (given a +.5 vcore or not). But the odds of hitting 2.2 Ghz are not so good. Lots of users needed high vcores to get 2.2 ghz (1.75V +) while a few got 2.2 ghz at lower vcores. So these are much better than T-bred A's, but not as good as DLT3C. Basically for $43 u get a 2.1 ghz processor =D, good deal.

Isn't 2.1ghz more like 2600+ or even a bit more? I know it benched like a 2700+. When I was running it at 2.2ghz it benched (Sandra) more like a 2900+, just barely under a 3000+.

You people seem to forget that the DUT chips can handle higher voltage than the DLT's. When they first came out, many people were running them at over 2V! There's still a lot of people running at 1.9V without any problems.....

Be it as that may be, regardless a t-bred B still runs extremely hot at voltages of 1.85 V and up, unless you got watercooling or a 80 cfm monster, you won't be hitting this voltage using more commonplace air cooling.

I ordered mine tonight, I'll tell you how it goes when I get mine. One guy reported 2.4 ghz at the 1.7 v core, most people are able to nail at least 2.2 it seems :)

I bought one last Friday 5/16 and got the B

It seems like luck of the dice but either way it is a good deal really.

Actually it is the 'U' or 'L' in the second position.

My week 12 XPMW sucks.
