HI! Guys... I have tried O/C my CPU today. I have performed the following steps. If any step may cause problems, pls tell me as I am new to O/C: (Mobo:Soltek SL 75DRV4, CPU:AMD Athlon XP 1600+
1) Increased VCore to 1.85V
2) Increased FSB from 133 to 145 and then to 150 insteps of 1 MHz.
Upto 148 MHz, the system runs stable but on going higher, while running Prime95 Torture test, the system hangs(OS:Win 2000 Pro)
Temp: Full load(@147 MHz=55 C)

I've heard that my mobo allows me to O/C till 151 MHz(so does the official RedStorm feature)
Awaiting suggestions and answers....

1.85v is a little too toasty i would say. i got mine running 175 fsb on an iwill board, and have the voltage at 1.775

alos, thats a prety high temp, could be because of your high voltage. i would suggest cutting the voltage back

I think that the reason you cant get above 148fsb is because of you memory and/or pci bus. What kind of memory are you using?
