They should just launch the R600 as in business time is really money because if they don't they will not only be behind the competition, but also face sour financial results which I'm afraid to say will have to be told face to face to investors. If investors feel the platform which they bought into is unstable, they will simply change ship and that doesn't leave ATI/AMD all singing all dancing either.
If they really had a great product, and knowing how money is try now in the AMD/ATI camp, they would make a big fuss of it if only to stop or otherwise lower sales of Nvidia GPU's.
