Guyz with AMD X2 running Vista...

What are your current situation in Vista..??

We all know Vista runs slower than XP..But is it that slow with X2..???

My X2 is as responsive as my C2D in XP but X2 is more responsive in Vista than my C2D..

I'm waiting for my C2Q and replace my current C2D with it to try and find out if the responsiveness is better than my current system..

Any comments...??

My Turion X2 laptop runs Vista fine.. (2.0Ghz)..typing this up on it now in Vista..

Even my older Athlon64 3500 ran Vista 64-bit fine, you just need to make sure you have at *least* 2GB of ram... IMO Vista responsiveness relies more on the amount of memory than CPU..as long as the CPU is already half-decent...

But any X2 should run Vista fine...

How much RAM do you have installed. I have a Dell D400 laptop with a 1.8GHz Pentium M and 2GB RAM. It seems to work fine most of the time. It hangs randomly but general use it isn't "slow".

You never stop with these snappiness threads do you? Stock E6600 vs X2 4000 and the e6600 is quicker all day. Ultimate 64bit 4gb ram. You run Intel cpus but every thread I see you make is bashing intel, why give them your money if you hate their product so much? X2 is not "snappier" that's all in your head because you're an AMD fanboy.

I thought you were asked not to make any further snappy threads. Snappiness by any other name (such as "responsiveness") is still snappiness...

well guess what? I just ordered my first ever Intel cpu the e6750 and I have a X2 here as well (the family computer) so when I get my new system built I'll tell you which is snappier. I've always been an AMD guy so I'll give you my true impressions.
