Hi,
So I've had an FX-55 San Diego for about 1 week now running in an Asus A8N-SLI-PREMIUM.
This CPU runs so cool, it's great. And as far as performance goes, it is pretty good.
When running a task, the CPU will run at 100% and finishes things very fast, however, nothing else can be done when doing heavy tasks, since the CPU is already being pushed to the limit.
I got my hands on an X2 4800+ which I'm running right now.
This one also runs very cool, and it is a beauty to multi-task, in the same way a P4 with HT would.
It is not too fast, it is just OK. 1 thing I noticed is that the CPU is almost never running at 100%, maybe that is the way multi-core works in order to be able to run multiple things.
I know that in the near future, the X2 4800+ will be fully utilized by every application and game so it would be nice to keep it.
I could also trade this for an FX-57 which I guess would give me very similar results to that of an FX-55
What do I do?
