they are worth it if you are into hardcore overclocking....

Temps! Pretty much the more you spend the lower you go, and the lower you go the higher you clock.

The two top competitors commercially available seem to be the Chilly1 and the Vapochill LS. The coldest and fastest units are hand built cascaded systems which can run into the thousands and look like something from monster garage or Dr. Frankenstiens lab.
