Out of curiosity, are any of the Opteron/AMD 64 motherboards equipped with a Gigabit adapter built in that's not on the PCI bus (basically the same thing as the CSA bus of Intel)?

Or will this whole thing just not matter when you have PCI Express?

I'm wanting/looking to build an Opteron or A64 workstation in a few months, and this is one of the features I'm really interested in having.

Watch for the nForce3 Pro 250Gb boards to arrive in the next few months with that. VIA will be making a southbridge that has non-PCI-based gigabit Ethernet too, Q2 04 I heard.
