AMD will be OK thanks to the new FX-8xxx line-up.

That for me was his greatest line during the Iraq war. :D

At 4.8Ghz, an 8350 used 364W (!!!), contrast that to 3770K @ 4.8ghz using only 244W. That eats a lot of potential wattage you could use for GPUs. (per Bit-Tech).

I will admit handily that the 8350 is a huge improvement over 8150 in that regard though!
My FX8350 at 4.7Ghz with vcore at 1.475 uses, per my KILL A WATT meter up to 375W when running IBT. This is measuring the entire computer less the monitor. My Bulldozer running at 4.5Ghz (best I could do) would use 430W. A noticeable improvement. As I type this usage is 135W. Owning 2 2500ks OC to 4.5Ghz I marvel at Intel's command of power control for performance. AMD took another route Brute force. Unlike the Bulldozer, the PileDriver is an improved chip. Closer to the 2500k overall. I would clearly recommend the 2500k over the 8150. The 8350 narrows the gap on the recommendation.

Amd Marketing for 8xxx "give high factory clock" So they look faster then they really are in benchmarks so we can take advantage of stupid people.

Maybe people will not figure out that if you overclock the intel chips clock for clock it destroys us.

Hokies83, if it makes you feel any better, your 3770k at 5.1Ghz with the H100 is clearly faster than my FX8350 with my H100 at 4.7Ghz. Shoot, I can clock mine to 5Ghz and you still beat me. I paid $219 for the 8350 and you paid ?? for the 3770k? Not trying to be a smart "donkey" but you are surely going to beat me with a chip that cost @$100 more.

BTW, those "experts" that say a 8350 beats a 3770k are plain wrong. The 8350 improves on the 8150 (most would say that isn't difficult to do!). Where AMD finally did something right is priced the 8350 at $199 (there are markups now but it will probably settle at $199). I think the 8350 is a legitimate contender to the 2500k and is within range of the 3570k. Beating the 3770k? Perhaps a STOCK 3770k vs a highly OC'd 8350 but with a chip like yours (5.1) I'm always going to be in your rearview mirror;) Don't you just love the Intel vs AMD vs Intel vs AMD rhetoric?
