AMD White Paper on Thermal Interface Material

I was all excited until I noticed it was four years old.

I did run across something similar at Intel a few weeks ago. I think it's pretty recent and I have it bookmarked at work. Will check in the a.m....

I think that even at 4yo the document is still viable because most of the new chips are lidded. PM the Intel link to me and I will put it on page one!

It's not the age of the doc, so much as the recommendations they give for procs. I mean, can one even BUY an aftermarket Thermal Pad and is that really the preferred method for end-users? That seems to be their recommendation for the high-end AMD procs from 4 years ago.

I can't agree with that....
