PC1 uses both displays -
VGA > secondary display - right monitor
Digital > Primary display - left monitor

PC2 uses only the right monitor,

---

both monitors have Exit Source button to swithch between Analog or Digital, meaning between PC1 or 2 on monitor number 2 ( the right one )

I had the same setup, you would use the KVM to get rid of all the clutter on your desk ie. only one keyboard and one mouse. you never use two at once.

I don't know if this applies to him but I have two machines on opposite sides of my desk at home. One is my main XP Pro machine and the other is depending on my mood a 2000 Advanced server or a Linux box (whichever one I have going acts as a web/ftp/file server).

Why 2 PCs next to each other :)?

I am working more seriosly now, so I can't mess around with the work pc, the left box.
But I can't help trying out new stuff, windows/linux installs, games etc...and that's why the right box is for :)

And actually my pics are outdated.
The right computer is now the one in my sig which stays on 24/7. The 13 year old daughter lives on it.
The one to the left will soon be an FX53, my game machine.
And out of picture to the right is my old P2-450 which still works.

But his are stylish and fast.

Yes nice Rigs indeed and I use up to 4 Rigs at once...MM Encoding uses a lot of Cycles and different programs and OS's on them is better then dual booting.

Spoken like someone without a family  Kind of difficult for the Mrs. and/or son to use the 2nd system if I have the only kybd&mouse now ain't it? ;)

BTW, Nice rigs  I have used both the Antec and Chieftech versions of that case for more builds than any other. You should run a distributed computing project on at least one of them IMO. You help with very worthy causes and folding@home Gromacs work units are the single best stability tester for overclocks I've found. :light:

I second the KVM switch. Clean up some of the clutter, two pcs for more efficient work, thus cleaner work area for more efficient work. :p

Also, dude, have both computers running the dual monitors. They have dual inputs, so have each computer do a dvi connection to each montior, and each computer do an RGB connection. It is nice to have the dual setup for both.

I use two computers in a similiar fashion, one computer is the full time downloader, media server for the home network. The other one plays games and web browses. Of course, I am a P4 boy. (3.2 ghz and a 2.2 ghz)

The difference between the chieftec version and the antec version are the power supply, and the blowholes on the sides are different. I like the antec one better, but maybe that is just because I own it.

I always bought just the cases for client builds and add a inexpensive sparkle PSU, but I agree the Antec is a slightly better version of the case, just not enough to justify the price differential that existed between them@the time. The cheiftech would usually have free shipping on unpopular colors while the Antec did not. Timing on the purchase usually meant the Chieftech got the nod that's all :)
