AMD T-Brid 950mhz Still good for todays games?

Hi I was setting up a computer and saw the T-Bird 950mhz cpu's for $58 at pricewatch would that be good for most games?

Games are more dependent on videocards these days, so yes an Athlon 950 is still a very viable gaming cpu.

It's more then good enough for today's games at maximum detail. Anything above a P3 600MHz or so is good enough to get reasonable performance at decent resolutions in current games.

Yup. Sufficient. But if u r buy new...consider the 1.4 Ghz. Best deal now.

Yup, it's still plenty good for gaming. Heck, even my K7-5@913 is good for all my games. But I'll be upgrading soon anyway. Better SETI@home times, you know:D

Yes, plenty good. I agree with some of the other comments here about a good vid card to go with it.
