I posted a message a couple days back, asking if upgrading my 600duron to a 1.2ghz t-bird would be worth it. I decided on getting the T-bird. But then I would have a duron that wouldn't be used.
I offered a friend my old motherboard (Abit KT7) the duron, a case and a 4.3gig hard drive for the price of a new motherboard. What I forgot to do was factor in the price of the DDR ram. Since I'm on a really really tight budget. Would I see enough of a performance increase with the Shuttle (266fsb) motherboard and DDR ram compared to the Abit (200fsb) board with SDRAM, to justify the price of the new DDR ram?
