While I support AMD as much as the next guy--what with their excellent products and having brought competition to the marketplace--I'd like to know why i'm IMing this guy.

He's my tech ed teacher, and since the beginning of the year we've been having a (friendly) fight of AMD vs Intel. So tell him AMD is better!

Depends. For a mission critical server I would choose Intel. For common workstations or home computing I think AMD offers far more bang for the buck.
