hay can any body tell my why stock hsf fooks like a coolmaster hsf? its a xp1800 tbred-b. and while your at it why can i hit 1804 mhz on the stock hsf? from what i hear some of you replace your heatsinks as soon as you get it. i have a 270 mhz oc on my stock hsf and i only stoped because my pci speed was to high and my video card tweaked out(yes i have a pci video card).
-------------------sory i was bord

It probably is a Coolermaster heatsink. AMD just buys the cheapest of whatever works, slaps a sticker on it and puts it in the package.

Jimmy, the chip you have regularly hits between 2.2ghz and 2.4ghz, when used with a nForce2 400 board. Those of us who change our heatsinks before we ever use the chip are the ones who like to keep our cpu's as cool as possible. Many people these days are actually overclocking their Barton 2500's from 1.83 to 2.2ghz while using the stock hsf. BTW, if you're interested, here's a Biostar nForce 2 400 board for $52.99. I bought that same board for my daughter's system, and I like it quite a bit.
