Nice, pity there are no notes. I went to the AMD site, and it looks like there is also Fiji support, which is good.

Known Issues


  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

I did a quick run with this driver on my granny 7950 with Far Cry 6 and it runs better than I could hope.

Here's the video if anyone's interested (not clickbaiting-non monetized, just for fun channel).


The important thing to note, is that it was running at 15fps previously at the same settings, so that's a big win for the 7950. Keeping in mind of course, that the 7950, takes a 1/3 performance hit in anything DX12 and also that it existed two years in the life of PS3. The 2500k being even older did OK, but at low settings, the cpu load is less.

If you excuse the O/T, I do have another test of the 2500k with the 3060ti and settings at Ultra and it did quite well for its age (the following recording is done with shadowplay and I have seen that these recordings have some problems-stuttering with msi afterburner).
