Nah, Sony officially updated their PS2 sales to be over 160 mln, no doubt to make sure old unofficial estimate isn't used anymore

-Hmmm yeah looks like Switch 2 is set for a 2025 release which will take the wind out of the Switch's... Sales *ba dum tish*

Nintendo can always pull a Sony just pull a big number out of their butt 20 years from now and say "whups we forgot to mention these extra 20 million switches we sold" and take the top spot too.

Less than a week until the announcement, and so far only one Strix Halo device has leaked: the ROG Flow Z13. I'm curious what everybody's ideal form factor for this chip is. Would you buy a 13" tablet with it?

Personally I'd like to see it in a light 14" 16:10 laptop that can sustain cooling 100W when plugged in. As for the tablet, I always think I'll like using a tablet, but when I actually use one I quickly remember why I don't like them. Everything is easier on a laptop than it is on a tablet.

The HP elitebook x G1a fits your needs. Mine too. The only thing is seems to be missing is a haptic touchpad.

I do hope some other manufacturers make 14" laptops with strix halo too. Good to have options.

-It's AMD and Laptops so I'd venture a guess like 5 devices will be announced and only one will actually be available in any capacity and that one will end up inexplicably paired with an RTX 4050 and the worst RAM spec possible but be priced out at $2000 and leave everyone scratching their heads.

This is still the reality for me (leasing):

You probably can guess already what the options are. I could get a new laptop to replace my current Renoir ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 but the available AMD options are rather meh.

5 devices would be a major victory for a part like -halo.

What device fits that price point? Even the steam deck is $400. Do you just think the segment shouldn't exist? Lol

This is what gets me, people who don't want certain products or products lines to be available for others because they themselves wouldn't buy it.

I wouldn't buy a 18" 4Kg notebook with a RTX 4080 Mobile and desktop CPU. But they exist and I'm perfectly fine that other people are buying those.

-Its just zero sum thinking. There is a market for a $400 handheld and there is a market for a $2000 handheld.

Nobody wants one market to come at the expense of the other.

Most high end laptops have a GPU and cooling solution to justify it. Is there really a market for 100W+ handhelds? It is surprising to me as I haven't heard of such a thing.
99watts is maximum. Due to some kind of regulation

Asus & MSI already have 80watts
