Edit: Free HP EX900 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD is no longer a "free gift" with purchase. But the price has gone down slightly, still not as good as it was a month ago though, when it hit $119.99 FS from Newegg.
Right now, it's available from Platinum Micro (shipped by Newegg) for $133.99, and shipped and sold by Newegg for $139.99. Not the greatest deal, when Microcenter has it for $79.99, and ebay flippers have it for ~$120.
It's a great CPU, though, overall, just check out some of my comments in the other MC R5 1600 thread.
If you believe that the HP EX900 (DRAM-less, uses NVMe 1.3 HMB) 250GB M.2 PCI-E NVMe SSD is truely worth $46.99 (it basically is), then that makes the Ryzen R5 1600 CPU equivalent to $103, which is quite a deal. (Maybe not as good as Microcenter though, but that deal is in-store only, and not everybody has a Microcenter near them.) ebay prices are trending around $120 or slightly below, last time I checked, for this CPU, so keep that in mind too.
For a cheap mobo, may I suggest an ASRock B450 board?
