Ryzen 3 mobile apu is pretty interesting. It should be popular in developing country.

Based on that presentation, it could just as easily be Feb. 2018. But March would be okay too.

The more interesting part is the mobile gaming APU. It must have a significantly faster GPU than the current one.

Yes.
What's it?
Current RR die is merely 704ALUs tops (11 nCUs).
That's not enough to be a "gaming" SKU.

Maybe it's higher clocked 12 unit APUs - assuming they would need to use HBM2 for higher performance.

I believe this "mobile gaming apu" moniker is just a faster dual channel memory notebook.

What MCM?
Are you suggesting AMD to make a MCM of RR die (that has no SerDes links required for that) and HBM2 PHY?

I'm suggesting your above argument was a similar to saying ThreadRipper or Epyc can't exist. I'm not making any speculations on the future,

Wait, you want AMD to reinvent the wheel create a Northbridge!
You know, these old chips with extrenal memory controllers CPUs used to connect to using FSBs (or modern point-to-point protocols like HT/QPI).

But the Zeppelin die made both of those possible. The Raven Ridge die doesn't make MCM nor HBM possible.

But AMD claims Kaveri is a "gaming APU", do they not, for e-sports types of games.

Kaveri and BR desktop can handle entry gaming just fine; the latter supposedly even 1080p.

RR at 65W-95W should be a step above. If/when they get dual graphics working I imagine these will be very capable gaming systems. As far as mobile gaming, it's probably better to go discrete unless they can cool the CPU at 65W TDP.
