AMD RYZEN 5 3600 6-Core CPU + ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac ATX Motherboard

$240.98

I've had my eyes on this combo for a few days now, but Newegg just dropped the price of the mobo from $109.99 to $99.99, so the price of the combo came down too!

This seems like quite a decent deal on a decent board, and a really decent CPU.

NOTE CAREFULLY - you will need a 1st-gen Ryzen CPU to FLASH THE BIOS/UEFI of the board BEFORE you can use it with the 3600!

Edit: ASRock X470 TaiChi Ultimate (with the 10GbE-T AQuantia chipset onboard!), is on sale @ Newegg for $80 off, $219.99 as well, though not with a combo with anything. Just for consideration as well. (A standalone 10GbE-T PCI-E x4 card will cost you $100+ anyways.)

Pretty nice, but in a way I feel it's kinda shady to bundle a first gen board without a new BIOS with a 3rd gen chip, and not even warn users. Who knows, if people are lucky it will be newer stock with Ryzen 3k support out of the box.

To be sure, "Matisse" IS supported on this board... but you have to find a way to shoe-horn the newest BIOS on there FIRST, which basically means, booting and flashing with a 1st-Gen Ryzen CPU. Which may be too much of a PITA for some people. (Especially people that are first-time builders, and may not keep a stock of older CPUs around like I do.)
