Somebody locked my thread without even consulting me, which is weird. I will continue here:

So the 3800x is $100 less than the 9900k at $400 (its supposed competitor) and the 3900x is $500 competing with the $1200 9920x. and you think they struck out on price ????
I do not think that they compete with Intel now. They are so far ahead that they are measured now against their own products.

The fact that a new generation of processors brings improvements is given. The fact that they can bring performance of two processors in one is great.

The fact that they charge so much for such a processor as if you were really buying two of them is not so great.

Wow, I forgot to "consult", how very forgetful of me.
