So my ordeal with the new Ryzen 3K is still not over.
My R9 3900X will be delivered in the second week of September, two months from the time I placed my order. High chance it will get delayed again.
I got an Athlon 200GE to checkout the board while I wait for the R9 but after it arrived I discovered it does not work on X570
In the meanwhile I discovered the Seasonic PSU is not playing nice with the Cable Mod cables, super tight and when I powered up the system the PSU is shutting itself off.
Turns out the Seasonic PSU is faulty. I will RMA the Seasonic PSU
I also ordered an Athlon 3400G and I am using it with my X570 Pro.
I got a new CoolerMaster PSU and things are working now with the 3400G.
I updated the BIOS of the X570 Pro and overclocked the 3400G to 4100 MHz, strangely it feels a lot snappier than my 1700X except during compilation.
I also switched a lot of fans in between, to all PWM and did waste some money doing that too
Now I know everything works,
My H100i, 5700XT THICII, SSDs, RAM, X570 Aorus Pro etc
Another 10 days to wait for the real deal, the 3900X to arrive.
Question:
For the 3900X and X570 Aorus Pro, do I need to always also plug in the additional 4 Pin EPS besides the 8 pin EPS ?
The X570 Aorus Pro chipset fan is really loud for me, and it gets covered fully by the Graphics card, wont this impact the heat and noise of the Chipset.
