Thats what I thought I remember doing on my Taichi X370 board. But on this (Phantom Gaming ITX)it still says Speed 2133 next to the XMP and Profile (where I select 3200 or even 2933) and either restarting back into the bios or from reporting in Windows it shows up as 2133 (or 1066 depending on tool).

I figured it would be simple if we had a couple people with newer Asrock boards, figure someone may have had same confusion as I am and figured it out. For now posting from work so I can't take any screenshots (assuming you are right and there is a way).

Reviews used to sometimes have uEFI images page by page, but not lately.
On my MSI x570 was easy. It has a try it and see option with a list of memory clocks and timings. For me to go from 2133MHz to 3600MHz it's just click 3600MHz and set dram voltage. Save and reboot. I then just have to correct the timings as their really loose. My b-die does 3600MHz cl14.

Ok, cool! I just picked up a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L. It's up and running. My CPU temp is much cooler (10c) - Idles around 40c because I have the doors shut, with little AC. I forgot to mention, I took back the 120mm case fans. Those corsair ones are terribly loud, and obnoxious.
Still confused on Ryzen power settings, but I'll dig into that later.

The ASRock x470 has an update, and my ASUS x470 prime pro has an update (both to Agesa 1.0.0.3 AB) but no update for the X370.

The previous BIOS (5.10) was AGESA 1.0.0.6 but 5.30 reads "Update AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.1" so I'm not sure what to make of that. Looking at the BIOS history it seems once a "Bridge BIOS" is released AGESA code gets rolled back and then incremental updates are released thereafter?
I don't really care I suppose, so long it works.

I had beta bios sent to me, and it was fine. This exact bios, I loaded on my x370 Taichi, and it was fine. With a Ryzen 1600 just to flash bios, but it was fine.

OK, I downloaded it for my ASUS and ASRock boards for mt 3900x's. Dor ASRock, I set it to 3600.1800 and I got a bppt and timings were right. Subtimings must be off, since my latency is 80ns. On the ASUS board I ad to swap memory, and manually set the timings to 16,15,15,15,36. I have spent all afternoon on this. I give up.
I tried using the Ryzen dram calculator on the ASUS board, but even using "safe" settings, it would not even boot. So I give up
Any idea how to get from 80 to 64 ns using a minimal of subtimings ?
Were you playing around with a static overclock when you got that latency result?
Okay the trick to make sure OC stuff in the advanced tab (think under CBS) were set. Also disabled PBO (More on this later). Now speed changes stick. Was running at 3200 but there was a couple of things, a lockup during the Post first time and a random restart later. So I kicked it down to 3000 and will play with the timings later to try to get the 3200 out of it.
So experience wise PBO was on to begin with. Package wise it was wierd and maybe the reporting was off. But it seemed to use less power with PBO on then off. I ran Prime95 to stress the CPU, when PBO was on it ran at 4100 per core for about half a minute then settled down to 3980-4GHz. With it running at 95c on my H100i. With PBO off it settled at 3910 and dipped to 3880 a few times. No throttling. But full package showed up at 95% of 140w limit. I don't remember what the number was with PBO but it wasn't redlining against the 140w. But I think that wasn't reporting it correctly.

That is highly unlikely. PBO will jack up the power parameters to motherboard limits (and beyond) and the CPU will try to eat whatever it thinks it can digest. Check the PPT, TDC, and EDC numbers in Ryzen Master when PBO is enabled, and have HWinfo run side by side while running Prime95. You will see power consumption differences with and without PBO.
Edit: Are we talking about 3600/3700, or 3900?

RMA'd the 3600 and ordered a 3600X for only £18 more than I paid for the 3600; pretty much a no-brainer.
If it still doesn't power up with CPU in socket then the X570 will need to go back too.
PSU tester arrived last night, so I'll test that today.

3900x. Like I said a misreport. I don't see how I could be thermally limited on PBO and not without but have it using more power. But that was how it was being reported.
Is the issue getting it up to speed or just the timings?
When I was playing around with a ASUS CH6 MB to get my 3200MHz CL14 b-die up to 3600MHz I had to increase the dram voltage to 1.44v's. My hurdle was there is another dram voltage setting in the uEFI that I believe was called vboot dram voltage. Once I set it to the same as the dram voltage I was good to go. I believe the setting is located in External Digi+ Power Control section and was located at the very bottom of the options.

Its 3600 cl15 ram, samsung b-die. I put it in and set the speed to 3600, but aida64 says my memory speed is 51k, and latency, 80 ! Lopri (and others) get 55-56k and 64 or so latency. Thats a big difference. So I use that Ryzen dram calculator, select "calculate safe" and put those timings in. It won't even post. I have to reset CMOS.
