I thought people only use ASIC miners these days.cryptocurrency mining is booming again with the massive price increase of Ethereum and Polaris 10 is the best bang for the buck in mining
for bitcoin yes, but for popular altcoins that are memory intensive as to be asic resistant, gpu's are still the way to goI thought there are other computers to use for mining these days? What are those called, not ascii but something similar.

570/580 are Back Order on NCIX as well. Placed an order for a Sapphire 570 on Monday and will see how long it takes to receive it. Been watching for availability for the past 2 weeks while I decided which card to get, once in awhile some models/brands get some stock, but sell out quite quickly.
I'm planning on getting at least 2 Vega chips given the alternative coin love. At worse I just have 2 good gpus. At best I make some decent money and can recoup even 30% of my cost I'm happy.
Also. why is the 480 2-3x more expensive than the 580????
Damn, I was gonna buy another one soon to crossfire mine. Can I crossfire a 480 with a 580?It's no longer being made, the only ones left are the couple in stock at random podunk retailers who ask more for them. This is normal, and happens with most gear.
Nice! Thanks for this!AMD Radeon RX 480 and 580 Crossfire: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2886-crossfire-rx-580-rx-480-benchmarks-vs-single-gpu?showall=1
