AMD RMA Question

I want to RMA an AMD retail chip that got fried for no particular reason. I checked with the AMD site and they said that they want proof of purchase, but I can't find the receipt anymore...does that mean I can't RMA it?

Where did you buy it from? Ask them if you can get a copy of your receipt.
