Any idea what's the difference between, for example, AMD's 5550M and 5557M? I can't find any difference in specs, and apparently they were released 2 months apart (not that there's any real availability).

From http://www.anandtech.com/show/6979/2013-amd-elite-performance-apu-platform-mobile-richland :

The top performing A10-5757M model improves on performance offered by the A10-4600M

The next step down is the A8-5557M, taking over for the outgoing A8-4500M.

That covers the 5557M. The 5550M is the same as the 5557M only in a different socket. Beyond that, the details are sketchy. They say socket FP2 is supposed to be lower power, but then the TDP of both chips is the same. Shrug.

Thanks.

Apparently, also, the 5750M supports DDR3 1866 while for 5757M it's 1600.
