Ok, I know a lot of these posts have already surfaced on here. But I just got home from the one here in Minneapolis.
No CPU for me. Looks like you had to act like a nerdling to win a CPU or get into the battle of the box tourney. I was so tired I don't think I would have done well even if they called my name. I look like someone beat me over the head with a baseball bat. Only getting 4 hours of sleep the last 3 days really wears a person down. And having to be at work (the little work that I actualy do) in 4 hours.
I got a Tshirt but the hats where no where to be seen. And the bags where far and few between. The show was ok. But like others have said before. The music was loud and annoying. If they would have played something different. It wouldn't have been so bad. Even if it was country...
The battle of the boxes went to a 16 year old kid that looked like he was on crack. The other guy hooked his floppy up backwards and got a floppy error.
Oh, and a little side note... Check out the computer that they use for playing the music... And Mac I-Book... I almost went up to them and said something. But then I thought I would have been a little out of place or something.
When I walked in they had tables in the center of the floor with signs on them from toms hardware, and Anandtech. But no Anand. Knowing he was at comdex he wasn't going to be there. 🙁
Anyways, if you get a chance to go to the others, good luck.
