I went to see the AMD Reality Check here in Chicago a few months ago.
I had a OK time there.
And I let them know why I thought is was lack luster in a online questionaire they sent me after my visit.
With the completion of the form was a promise of a free gift for my effort.

Well,, that was more than a few months ago. And I completely forgot about the whole event by now.

Today I received a black AMD embroidered cap in the mail.
Along with a short letter of thanks for my thoughts on some cotton watermarked stationary.

Nice touch ,,, for a delicate response from me.
 
I filled out the questionaire as well, much like you I also had a "just OK" time at the Chicago one. I got an AMD T-shirt in the mail about a week ago. My wife managed to snag a t-shirt while we were at the event in Chicago, but both shirts are too small.

Oh well, my broke sister sure enjoys being able to now wear 3 AMD t-shirts. We also snagged a shirt (and a mb/cpu/hsf combo!) at the Chicago Reality Check in Oct. 2001. 🙂

I'm hoping next time AMD decides to do another Reality Check in the Chicago area they pick someplace that's not pratically downtown. But I'll still show up pretty much no matter where they have it in the Chi-town area.
 
YA ... the parking there was a biatch... and I walked around about 5 minutes before I found the right door...

My biggest gripe was they told us to be there at 8 or 8:30?
I arrived on time ...but, so did everyone else..

By the time I registered and got upstairs ... they were already raffeling the 1st box...

I did snag on of those black long sleeve shirts off the back of the guy with the red beard...
(better than those white ones)

I was 10 steps from the big exit and I asked him If I could have his shirt.... lol

He took it off ... and gave it to me... 😛
 
Mwuaha. I won 2 CPU's and $500. Although I did get ripped off, I should have won the fatty $2500. Bleh!
 
got one of the hats at the one in Detroit and now they just sent me a hat exactly like it in the mail. so i got 2 identical amd hats.

Were you at the Chicago show? If so ... you were one of 2 guys that put the floppy disk cable on backwards (reversed) !

No, I was at the City of Industry show in Southern California.
 
bleh, I was at the Chicago event, and since I was up front at the Battle, I could see and was yelling at the guy that finished after the kid, that his cable was on backwards!! He ignored me and lost out his chance at 2.5k =/ Bleh! At least I got an 2 amd hats now 😉 1 at the event, and 1 in the mail last week!
