AMD Ramdisk, OBS project, and gaming

Hello,

This might not be the correct sub forum, so sorry if it is not.

My motherboard came with unlimited AMD Ramdisk. I would like to set that up in a way to maximize my ability with OBS project (or possibly FRAPS) to capture video during gaming.

PC Stats:
w7 64 ultimate
MSI z87-gd65
i7 - 4770k
32gb ram
hd 7970 (not a ghz edition)
primary ssd 240gb intel 335 (OS, drivers, etc)
secondary ssd 480gb ocz agility 3 (games, data for work)
primary hdd 2gb WD (back up of data, storage, and things that don't benefit as much from ssd)

i7 is OC'd at 4.0, going to do it to 4.2. Ram is stock at 1866, and 7970 is at stock. Will OC both of those later, but only moderately.

I game at 2560x1600.

I am guessing I should set up the Ramdisk with 16gb of memory that includes loading disk image/saving image on start up/close.

I tend to sleep the system more than shutdown.

For the OBS, I am going to install and run that on my secondary ssd. I am planning running the startup/shutdown read/write of the ramdisk on my primary ssd.

I am looking for advice on if this is a good way to set up this up and for anything I may have missed.

Thank you.
