OK, let them have it. You hate AMD? Hate on them right here. They make me ill with disgust. I read that Chuck Norris has an Intel CPU on an AMD motherboard.

It seems that no good will come of this thread. Likewise, the responses seem to indicate that everyone would expect a thread like this to be locked. Made it so - Admin DrPizza

AMD is a good company with a bad current lineup. At least they dotn lock out features or reserve them for the 1500$+ CPU's like crippletel does. They charge an extra 100$ for a "feature" that they have to go in and lock out, it actually takes them more effort to make the cheaper product. THATS how greedy and awful intel is. Their only 6 core processors are 600 & 1100$, AMD had a consumer level 6 core processor last generation and it was comparable to intels I7 lineup, their current one isnt. Theyre not bad, just not as good as intels chips. but at least AMD isnt a greedy big organization like crippletel.

hey, give me that mixer back. I am the one stirring the pot here buddy. But really, I remember the good old days of when we actually had a choice between CPU makers. That was a long time ago and AMD is just on the verge of dying completely, and I want the competition. Sympathize with me.
 
AMD rage? The closest thing I've seen in terms of rage coming from AMD is when their new CEO passionately said they needed to be predators...only to then say a few months later that laptops already had ample compute ability and what the world needed was more kittens.

With AMD rage like that, I think the world is safe from one self-proclaimed predator for the time being.

Once upon a time long ago one could use AMD,Intel,Cyrix on the same motherboard.

Not if you walked over sandy bridge to get to ivy bridge, then the bottoms of your feet are covered, as intended, with a layer of protective sand.

I love AMD's stock. Made so much money trading the darn thing.

Have made a bunch on Intel's, but nowhere near as much as AMD's. 😛
 
It's not that I hate AMD, their processor is ridiculously overpriced.

$200 for that low level of performance, NO THANKS.

the 8120 should sell for $100 tops. 😀
