AMD Radeon HD 7970 Graphics Cards CrossFire

I know a lot of you are wondering about the Xfire performance,, here you go. I think this is fast enough for 60fps

580 SLI vs 7970 CF

Going by that link posted above:

BF3 = ~46% faster (7970 minmum fps = 580 sli avg fps)
skyrim = CF looks like a mess in this, obv driver team for 7970 havnt done work for it.
F1 2011 = ~232% faster (yes 200%+ differnce)
Shogun 2 = ~55% faster
Batman Ark City = ~41% faster


7970 Crossfire profiles look like they need more work, atleast for skyrim.

*skyrim, the avg for the 7970 single card, is the same as the crossfire one, but the crossfire one has crazy minimum fps in it, obviously a driver issue for this new card in crossfire for that game.

I don't really trust minimum FPS numbers much. You don't know if it hit that low number one time during the entire run or 100 times. I've noticed with crossfire sometimes you will get a single brief stutter at the beginning of gameplay as crossfire kicks in, and I wonder if that isn't what is producing that low minimum FPS value.

The best situation in cases like this is an FPS graph, then you really know what is going on.

A 7970 with a high oc almost hits 6990 performance...and people want 2 of these what freaking game are you folks playing and on what ?

They received a 7970, Scott's still working on the review. Best-written reviews on the web.

That is good news and I agree at the moment their way of review cards is second to none.
Instead of reviewers "feeling" microstutter, they document it.

I simply love their graphs!
