We've known this months ago, and AMD have already stated multiple time that the Rx 480 is full Polaris 10. Even the article you've linked is more than a month old.

In the anandtech review:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/10446/the-amd-radeon-rx-480-preview
At the highest level, the RX 480 is based off of a fully enabled version of AMD’s Polaris 10 GPU.

Or this interview (4th of July): http://www.pcgameshardware.de/AMD-Polaris-Hardware-261587/News/Interview-1200545/
Evan Groenke is Senior Product Manager for Polaris 10 and he was deeply involved in the development of Polaris. He should know if the full configuration of Polaris is 40 compute units (like some websites state) or 36. Groenke made absolutely clear that the latter is the case. Here is his full quote of the interview, you will find the whole audio interview at the end of the article.

PCGH: Is the P10 a 36-CU-part and no hidden additional CUs?

Evan Groenke: I can absolutely confirm with you right here, that Polaris 10 in its full configuration defined by the silicon is a 36 Compute Unit configuration there's nothing else hidden on that product that end users might be looking forward to unlocking. This is the pinnacle, the latest and greatest of the Polaris 10 product.

and yet somehow we had post after post disputing all those links you have there.

"Apple is taking the 'full' polaris units!"

"RX485 has been seen on Zauba - must be the 'full' Polaris"

"Die size is too small, must be some disabled units"

this is all after your items were public knowledge. so, even tho these die shots are a month old, i figured i would put this out there as a nice easy reference point, just in case.

Have a cookie, I guess?

Turns out it was Polaris 11 that Apple is getting the full dies for. Not really a huge deal either way.

Good find, OP. AMD itself confirmed this but there were some who were adamant that they knew more than the people who work at AMD and are trying to sell the product :)

Thank you for clearing up an issue that hasn't been disputed for months; if there's anyone ignorant enough to still dispute it (if there are, I haven't seen any for a long time), this thread isn't going to convince them. The passive-aggressive tone of the OP and the subsequent post says to me that there is no point to this thread except to start an argument. Going pretty well judging by the post above me.
