Boo if it's a Platinum (Phantom) edition like they've done before. And I doubt it will be able to compete with the 285...maybe the 265.

Well I'm always excited about new video cards, its hard to get excited about cherry picked, higher clocked versions of the same chip . . .unless they cost less than their predecessors. So, if the 4870 1GB slides down to the 199 price and the RV775XT fills in the 299 price, that'd be worth getting excited about. I also sincerely hope it is not named Radeon 4870 XT Platinum Edition or some other BS. Its name should be consistent with AMD's other Radeon 4xxx names. Don't take your cue from Nvidia's marketing team.
