Hey all. I thought my phenom x4 945 BE Denab was toast (which it isn't long story....) I am running a Asus m4a79t deluxe motherboard. Since I thought my old cpu was bad and a attempt to maybe upgrade a little while still using my old motherboard I purchased the phenom x6 1045t. The problem I have is it won't boot period. Do I need to flash bios while my phenom 945 is installed in the mb,then install the 1045t and see if it will work then?

Okay sounds good just didn't want to mess anything up with the old chip if i had tto go back. Thanks for the help.
