AMD Phenom X3 8400 2.1GHz Processor
Processor Interface: Socket AM2+
Processor Class: Phenom X3
Processor Speed: 2.1GHz
Cache Size: 2MB L3 3 x 512KB L2
Bus Speed: 1800MHz (3600 MT/s)
Fan: Not Included
Wattage: 95W

Too much power consumption for me.

This is a Phenom 1 (Agena core). Not a xx50 series either, which means it'll have the TLB bug. They run hot and perform like crap, and don't overclock terribly well (~100-200MHz usually is the most you can squeeze out of it)

edit; I stand corrected. Toliman core, but still suffers from the TLB issue as it's a B2 stepping Phenom.

TLB bug on these? Quick search indicates OEM only, B2 stepping chip. Did they do a B3 stepping on this one?

This is ULTRA budget, which looks pretty good if you're sitting around on an old AM2 dual core and can upgrade. I doubt the CPU actually takes 95w at load. Heck, with CnQ this CPU probably is a very low power CPU for having 3 cores.

Looks like a solid HTPC CPU if you ask me.
