HI I JUST WANNA KNOW WHICH AMD PHENOM SERIES CPU WILL FALL UNDER MY BUDGET OF 5000 INDIA INR....I WANT TO PLAY AC,COD,CRYSIS SERIES etc....WHAT WILL BE THE BEST FOR GAMING...I AM A NOOB

You should get it for around 6000 to 7000. Don't know if you will get anything below that because vendors don't usually keep the cheap processors in stock. If that is out of your budget, look for the X3 processor, I believe on some of them, the fourth core can be unlocked..

what about amd phenom ii x4 945(hdx945wfk4dg) costs around 4800 and is 3.0ghz???

The processor doesn't matter nearly as much as the graphics card for gaming. In games, a slow Phenom II X2 with a Radeon 6970 or GTX 580 will do much better than the fastest Intel 6-core 990X with a crappy graphics card.

So budget less for CPU and more for GPU if gaming is your goal

This.

At the higher resolutions a PhII would have no problems pushing a video card to more than playable frames. So a Tri-Core should do just fine for most video cards. Even a highspeed Dual core with the L3 cache would do fine. I wouldn't go less than Tri-Core though. If your board supports it you may be able to unlock the extra core as well.

is "5000 INDIA IN" your budget for just the cpu, or for everything? If it is for everything then I think you can forget crysis. You'd be lucky to play farmville. At any rate you should just stick with an athlon II X2 240 (or 250 or 255 or 260 or whatever is cheaper). Yes a phenom is a bit faster for games but if you go cheap cpu now you can upgrade to bulldozer later if you get "BD compatible" motherboard. In the meantime, more money into video card will help more. Just be sure to overclock the athlon.

5000 INR=$111 USD.

Pretty sure he is referring to just the CPU since he wants to get a Phenom II X4

I would budget at least twice that amount for a decent graphics card, something at least on the level of a GTX 560 or HD 6950. OP, if you have to compromise on something to fit your budget, don't do it on the graphics card. Even a dual core Phenom II will be more than enough to play Crysis with a good graphics card.
