Killer value. The only flaw is that the motherboard only has one PCI slot. Not i know everyone is now migrating over to PCI-E, but ALOT of good hardware is still on PCI, so idk. I'd still bite if i was in the market for a new computer.

Damn I want to upgrade so bad but the only freakin game I'm playing now is Starcraft, which my x2 5000/4850 can obviously handle....

4 pcie 16x? If only I actually trusted crossfire to work properly. Too many sketchy benchmarks of crossfire. SLI always seems to have at least SOME gain in each game. Some reviews show xfire gaining nothing :/

I thought about this deal. I called foxconn to ask if the board supports ECC. I called two different numbers. One hung up after one ring. The other one went through some voice menus, and then rang forever..
I also read a review where the mb overheated when there was no overclocking or anything funny going on.

The web site doesn't mention ECC. The motherboard manual doesn't mention ECC. No bios screen mentions ECC. The recommended memory vendors don't mention ECC. And yet, based on the chipset, it should support ECC.

I decided on the Asus motherboard instead. Only 1 gig ethernet port. Only 5 not 6 sata ports. Only 1 not 2 esata ports. But their manual and web page clearly state ECC support. And I can call them and they will answer the phone.

I think the Foxconn has more features than the Asus, but I want reliability, documentation, and support as well.

If anyone wants an old Asus PC-DL that isn't reliable anymore, it is listed in the for sale forum, with memory, hsf's, and lv processors.

How would this combo compare to the Intel Q9550 both at stock. I was planning on going intel, but this deal is very tempting.

a bit slower, probably not noticeable unless you're benching side by side. this should also draw less power.
