Hello All,
I am going to build my budget rig with phenom ii X2 series, what is the difference between normal and black edition one. Is it worth spending little extra on black edition. (I won't be overclocking, as room temp. is always above 32 C and don't want to spend extra cash on cpu cooler).
Pls help.

Black edition means the multiplier is unlocked. This makes them much much easier to overclock, and they will overclock much higher when using a cheap motherboard.

If you do not overclock, black edition means nothing.
