"Wallace Santos, CEO of the custom PC maker Maingear received a rather mysterious Phenom II Black Edition. Nothing special so far, but the processor doesn't have a model number nor are there any details.
The AMD Phenom II BE is delivered in a nice black box and on the heatspreader only the name and the tag TWKR Black Edition, the number 42 and the note Not for Sale can be read. It is said that the CPU offers better overclocking capabilities than the current top processor, the Phenom II X4 955 BE, which had cracked the 7 GHz limit with extreme cooling solutions"

I said it befor I will repeat for hard of hearing . 7.1 GHz never happened. Even AMD debunked that garbage story . XS has thread on it.

If I had a little time I would talk about 5.5 ghz on AIR. But theres lots of time fot that.

Interesting, I wonder if this is just a highly binned Deneb or anything more juicy.

The Inq has determined that this is a major overclocking chip that will be etched "TWKR"

Inquirer

The INQ can now reveal and confirm after much sniffing about that the chips are indeed real, are focused on overclocking 140W CPUs running at 3.2Ghz, and are limited edition TWKR etched. If these chips are ever made available for sale they should be inexpensive and target budget enthusiasts, but that remains to be seen.

We've also been told by sources deep within AMD that the voltage on these high-leakage monsters can easily be pushed well past 1.40V in the hands of talented overclockers. So bring on the liquid helium, nitrogen, and dry ice!
