Hey gang!

So about 6 months ago I finally did what everyone who is in the beginning stages of learning service and repair PCs does; I built my own.

I started off with an ASUS M3N78 Pro Motherboard fitted with an AMD Phenom X4 9500 CPU and then filled the system up with 8GB of Corsair RAM, a Sparkle GeForce 9800 Video card and a 500GB (shoulda gone with 1TB I know) Seagate hard drive.

Compared to my old Dell Dimension 2400 this system was virtually a Lamborghini among Hondas but lately something has been terribly amiss.

Originally I thought I was having internet problems having recently purchased a Linksys Wireless N router to give my home the benefits of Charter Cable's wonderfully fast (lol) internet but after trying to multitask programmes and noticing my CPU monitor gadget I realised that may not totally be the culprit. I also have a suspiscion that it could be a memory leak in Firefox or my Kaspersky Internet Security Beta I'm using with my current OS which is Windows 7 RC1 build 7100.

I have alot of theories but honestly I'm not 100% sure what's happening with it so a friend recommended the people of this forums as being the most friendly and knowledgeable. Here's a copy of my 'Hijack this' report as well.

Thanks in advance for the help guys I really need and appreciate it.

OK case closed...apparently the Kaspersky Internet Security Beta that was allowed for free download with Windows 7 was the culprit. I replaced the suite with BitDefender and I'm rarely going above 20% workload now. I suppose these things are gonna happen until the market is able to produce stable programmes to go along with the new OS. Thanks anyway guys.
