AMD Palamino 2000 running at 1.25Ghz?

Just bought an AMD Palamino from a member on the boards but didn't have the chance to test it right away. I finally fired up the system and on the bios screen it clocked at 1.25Ghz ..

I don't know what happened. This CPU is supposed to run at 1.67 and I was gonna OC it a little more. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong or was there a mistake with the CPU?

You need to set your motherboard to the proper bus speed of 133MHz in its BIOS menus (or by jumpers/dipswitches if it uses them instead). I'd also check that the memory will end up at 133MHz/DDR266 as well, by setting it to a 1:1 ratio of the CPU's FSB speed. If you have trouble determining that, let me know what motherboard you've got and I might have the manual here already and be able to help you with that 🙂
