Which one is faster, E4300 at 3.15ghz or Opteron at 2.8ghz?
I know I can reach 3.15ghz on my E4300, maybe more once I change it out of the 965P-DS3 and into the Abit P35 (since the DS3 is limited to 350mhz bus, as far as I can tell).
I chose 2.8 for the AMD Opteron 165 because that seems to be the most common number I see for people who have OC'ed it. Let me know if I'm wrong though...
I'm not looking for any water cooled setups. I have a Scythe Ninja RevB on my E4300. I just want to see which one was the better choice in the ~$100 range on air, since I haven't seen any direct comparisons.
Also, clock for clock, which one is faster? Are AMD clocks worth more, or Intel clocks (ie, is a 2.8ghz intel c2d faster than a 2.8ghz amd?)
