sweet richuk, does your motherboard recongize the cpu, or does it need a bios update or what?

yes it needs a BIOS update to recognise the second core, i am using the latest 1B version, and i used the winflash utility to flash the BIOS from windows.

yup .. THIS site has all of the BIOS's official and modded, for this board that have ever been released

And if you check above the table of BIOS's on that link, you will see a download link for the latest version of winflash (WinFlash 1.76), download that and the correct BIOS, flash the BIOS and jobs a gooden

;)

1B Official is the one that i am using now. i tried the modified 1B TCCD version (as I have TCCD ram), but found this to unstable at high frequencies so decided to use the official one which works better for me.

What's the max vcore on this mobo? I ordered an asrock 939 to tinker with but was thinking about buying this as well.

absolute max is about 1.64 volts which is more than enough if not using a vapo/promie.

some modded BIOS's can reach over 1.75v (18% over vid) but these were for the single cores not the dual cores, well they have not released a volt modded one yet anyway.

EDIT: damn typo's
