intro

Digital Fantasy Legacy Modder is a new FREE utility used for modding AMD catalyst drivers for use with older ATI legacy cards, it is a fast user friendly utility that every legacy card owner must have to keep their drivers updated.
What can Digital - FLEM do? Digital FLEM enables you to make modded drivers for your legacy GPU by adding your personalized card specific support to new AMD drivers allowing for a smooth install. I'm in need of a hybrid Driver between Catalyst 10.6 and 12.1. The reason is that I use both an integrated Radeon 4200 for playing games and drive two Monitors, and two Radeons 5770 for OpenCL. The newer Catalyst has a 2D crash/freeze issue, while old drivers doesn't seem to have proper OpenCL support. With the Catalyst 10.6, the AMD APP SDK 2.4 installs, but only sees the Processor as an OpenCL device, not the 5770s, so I can't use them for BitCoin or LiteCoin mining.
Besides, for LiteCoin I also need at least AMD APP SDK 2.7 (Last one that works on WXP I think), that also requieres Catalyst much newer than when that bug is introduced. If I recall correctly, it didn't worked with the 11.6, but did with the 12.1. Do you think this tool can work to integrate the requiered stuff for OpenCL support into the older Catalyst, so I can get rid of that 2D crash bug while being able to use OpenCL on the 5770s? Or are there any other tools, guides, etc, that I may use?

Looks like the 4xxx cards finally got OpenGL "support" on Windows 8. Nice for those on Nehalem that haven't upgraded hardware yet.
