I do expect per socket performance to be pretty much greater on same power or about par with greatly better power use (with some outliers).

I do think it will be a hit on big part of server customers based on what we saw on ryzen, specially Stilts technical review.

I just don't want to see the all out hyping that happened with ryzen, then when it fails to deliver that 2,5X performance, ppl get dissapointed while it most likely still is better than intels xeons, atleast where the performance per socket matters.

Yeah, you are just right, there will be scenarios where Naples will really shine and others (i.e. where AVX 256 bit code is used) where it will be exactly the opposite.
