I heard they might skip over DDR2 and go to DDR3. Don't know if this is true or not. Might just be a vicious rumor.

Are you just curious, or do you want DDR2? Because you could run you DDR with looser timings to simulate the lower performance of DDR2.

Whenever the CPUs support it. Remember, the memory controller is on the CPU with K8-based processors (Athlon 64, S754 Sempron), so the motherboard's chipset won't dictate the memory type.
