i signed up, although i don't know if i will be accepted.... i wanted to pick "newegg" for who supplies my AMD parts, but they didn't have it on the list ;) I just picked some random one
Is 350 a good deal (sans the Windows Vista - I actually don't use it :x) for that mobo and processor?

You need to be a partner or work for one to get a bundle. Last year I believe they checked your BIN. Screw that. These are extremely boring events. And this years deal is just warm....not like my $500 for dual opterons + MB + Server 2003 from two years ago.

Anyone going to this in Burlington, Ma? Anyone been recently (this years)? What to expect?

I don't think they are too hard core about this. I'm somewhere between "barely eligible" to "not eligible." In fact I was invited last year by someone here (AMD in his screen name, that's all I remember, lol) who indicated as much. MS called me this week for confirmation and even asked if I wanted to bring someone.....

PS: Sorry to bring up the dead post. :D Just couldn't find anything newer. Not sure if that is just the case as the events can sometimes be boring, the bundle sucks this year, and Intel is still kicking the crap out of AMD....

In fact, the bundle is so dead they don't even really mention it in the email. This is what I have in my confirmation:

THERE WILL BE NUMEROUS EXHILARATING GIVEAWAYS FOR ALL ATTENDEES AND SOME GUESTS WILL BE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THE TRANSFORMATION FROM DUAL-CORE TO QUAD-CORE TECHNOLOGY!

We will also be giving away a Home Server at every city:

Yeah that sucks.

I've seen threads about this for the past few years - do you guys get something out of this besides purchasing the hardware at a good price? I've thought about going, but there's nothing I really want to get out of this event so I don't know why I'd go.

Edit: If it's going to have some interesting information of some kind, I'll show up at the Illinois one.

Edit: Nevermind, guess it already happened ;)

None in the Twin Cities, hell they don't have one in Chicago.... AMD hates the midwest....
