AMD K7 driver update??

I saw a driver update for an K7 processor last time I used Windoze (XP) update.
Anyone install this update? last time I updated a driver through windows it nearly took out my system (had to re-install motherboard drivers to get it back to normal) Is it safe?

Yep, running fine on three systems here. Go for it and if you are really cautious set a System Restore point and backup all of your data.

I could be way off but I think its just a little driver that updates windows so it displays the correct name for your cpu under system properties

I have no idea what it does, but it did not mess up my system after updating
